January 25, 2010

In the aftermath of the surprising result in the Massachusetts special election, national media attention is now focused on the next state with an election — Illinois.

The New York Times reported on the impact of the Scott Brown’s victory on the race to fill the seat formerly held by President Obama  now held by the retiring Sen. Roland Burris.   The article also examines the impact of the post-Scott Brown political climate on the Illinois race for governor.

Political publications are also reporting on the results of the latest Chicago Tribune poll on the U.S. Senate race which show Democrat Alexi Giannoulias and Republican Mark Kirk leading two weeks before the Feb. 2 primary.
