Copenhagen — Day 3

December 11, 2009

Copenhagen Day 3 was marked by public statements on climate change by former vp and Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore and by 2008  GOP vp candidate and best selling author Sarah Palin.

Gov. Palin made a splash with her column in the Washington Post calling on President Obama to skip the Copenhagen summit on climate change.

Whatever deal he gets, it will be no deal for the American people. What Obama really hopes to bring home from Copenhagen is more pressure to pass the Democrats’ cap-and-tax proposal. This is a political move. The last thing America needs is misguided legislation that will raise taxes and cost jobs — particularly when the push for such legislation rests on agenda-driven science.

Mr. Gore took to the airwaves to answer CNN viewer questions and to downplay the significance of the ClimateGate emails.

For a full rundown of what actually happened on Day 3 in Copenhagen, including the “official” explanation of the leaked Danish text that evidently sent the talks into “disarray,” here are the video highlights.
